2019 Star Award

Congratulations to Laura Heck, this years recipient of the Star Award for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Chapter.

Laura not only did an excellent job as our Chapter President last year, she also developed a monthly email blast newsletter, always stays informed at the national level and encourages members to get involved and make a difference. Her leadership style is refreshing and very positive. She looks for the best in difficult situations and offers new ideas and solutions. Laura encourages the members to use different technology like mail chimp for communications and zoom or Skype for calling into a chapter meeting if you can't attend in person. She always gives 110%. Laura will work through lunch and after hours to meet her commitments. Laura is always the person to take on extra - even when she doesn't have the time or capacity.
