Calling All Nurses & Nursing Students!

Put Your Skills into Action at the Summer Madness Car Show

Join us at Embarcadero Park North for a day of community outreach and preventative care! We are looking for passionate Registered Nurses, LVNs, and current Nursing Students to staff our wellness booth, provide essential health screenings, and deliver hands-on health education to community members.

Whether you’re an experienced nurse looking to give back or a student eager to sharpen your clinical and patient education skills, your expertise will make a direct impact.

Clinical Volunteer Roles

• Blood Pressure Screenings: Perform accurate BP checks and offer brief lifestyle coaching.
• Blood Glucose Checks: Conduct point-of-care fingerstick testing and assist with result interpretation.
• Health Education & Navigation: Talk one-on-one with community members about preventative wellness and chronic disease management.

While we will do our best to work with your schedule and needs, ultimately shift assignment will be determined by event needs and if you have restrictions this may affect selection.

• I understand that if I am unable to attend, I must notify the event coordinator as soon as possible with minimum 24 hours notice before the event
• I understand that if I do not show up without 24 hr notice, I will be considered a "NO SHOW" with lower priority for future volunteer events and will be given a warning
• I understand that if a second "NO SHOW" occurs, I will no longer be given privilege to volunteer with SDAMN at future events
